    Security Help

    Hello All,

I have a problem, I've worked up some code that solves a pretty sought after equation in my field of work, so now we want to try and protect the file so that no one can a: take our logo off of the spreadsheet, and b: make sure no one can get the vba code out of the worksheet. Is there any way to do this in excel 2007?

    Thanks for any help,

    Scott H.

Note that Excel does not provide extreme security. If someone really wants to they will get at the code.. there are many hacks available online...

    Re: Security Help

Can Scott change all of the font color in the VB Editor window to white?
If so, the code stealers would not readily see the code written there unless they just happened to swipe over it with their mouse. I'm not aware of a way to do this...thus the question.

EDIT: to change colors(fonts/background) in VBA editor is under Tools/Options

    Re: Security Help

First off, thanks all of you for help, but i'm having an issue still. I have successfully protected the VBA code, but when i combine that with protecting the workbook, the workbook won't let me run the code because it's protected so it doesn't trust it...any thoughts?
