    Right click on cell -> Format cells -> Number -> use 3 decimal places AND thousand separator

    (also, since you not here first time it would be nice to state your Excel version in your profile . It won't impact you in any case and it can be helpful for giving solutions).
    Never use Merged Cells in Excel

    Thanks for the reply. I updated my profile. Using 2003.

    I tried your formula, it gives me a decimal point instead of a comma.
