remove % symbol in a cell

hi marvin thanks for the your precious time, i tried the following and got the solution

    A1 15.12%
    in A2

    =LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-1)

    hi experts,

i've the cells with number with percentage symbols i want those "%" symbols to be removed dynamically.

    example:
    15.12%
    12.31%
    34.12%

    i need
    15.12
    12.31
    34.12

but i can't use replace as it has to happen dynamically.

    thanks in advance.

    regards

Format your cells as numbers and multiply by 100?

    thanks for the reply
but i can't do this as this data comes from query and i've to change this to number without % symbol and display in the dash board, this has to happen dynamically.

    thanks &regards

I don't know what you mean by "dynamically".

If it is from a SQL query and gets to Excel, you can format it any way you want.

    hi marvin,

i'm using xcelsius where i will get the data from a BI query so this data comes from this and the same is displayed in the dashboard. when i said "dynamically" means it is this BI query data.

    thanks & regards
