Limit birthday list by month

The following is a list of birthdays, names and dates. I want to limit the list by month to only display the current month and mabe the next two months so only the most recent birthdays are displayed. The attached sheet should help clarify my problem.

In H2 enter a formula like:

this will include birthdays in this months and next 2 months... adjust as necessary

copy down.

Then in a blank cell, say K1:

to give total count

Then adjust formula in L2 to:

and copy down.

Hi Jim,
See if this will work for you.(very simple)

1) format Column "N" to date format mmm.
2) Select your yellow range of cells.
3) Select Auto Filter under "Data" tab.
4) Select the dropdown arrow for Column "N" and Choose the month. That will display the Birthdays for that just that month.

I am having a problem getting the formula to adjust to anything other than the current month. Where is the month adjustment made?

Thanks for your time and input. I thought about using some sort of filter, but the final list will be on a page with other data and filtering would be a problem.

Yeah, sorry, wasn't thinking....

This is a bit of a brute force method... I am sure there is a better way, but I am getting ready to shutdown so figured to post it since it seems to be working....

change H2 formula to:

You say you want birthdays in the current month (and possibly the next 2). Do you want to show all birthdays in December then.....or only those in the future, e.g. on 20th December do you want to see 1st December birthdays.....or just those from 20th onwards.....?

I don't have a problem either way. If it is easier to show all, fine. I am just trying to seperate the most recent and upcomming birthdays from the total list.

EOMOMTH() is a Analysis Toolpak function.. you need to have the addin enabled.
