    Locking Rows in Excel

    Hi all,

I am trying to create an excel spreadsheet where the top row has names in different cells and after I've finished creating all the names, I want to lock that row in a grey font so nobody can ever change the row - it simply won't allow you to click on those rows again. I've seen it done before but I cannot figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

You'll need to unlock other rows that you want people to be able to click on (format Cells>Protection) and then protect your worksheet. Choose the option that they cannot select locked cells. Is that what you are looking for?
