Lock array?

I need some help with an array formula. The formula uses data from cells A2:A6 and B1:F1 as inputs. The problem is that if I insert a new cell into the input range the array formula changes automatically, for example if I insert a new cell in column A, the formula changes to A2:A7. I don't want to that to happen, I need the input range to stay the same even if I add or delete cells in the range. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

Try replacing all references to A1:A6 with INDIRECT("A1:A6")
