    Excel 2007 Sort Function

    Morning,

Just a quickie (he says). Just tried to sort some data IE A1 = "Name", B1 = "Age", A2:A10 = Names, B2:B10 = Ages

Now, some of the "Ages" cells are blank.

I sorted the data by the Age column, smallest to largest and the blank cells went to the bottom of the list, as if being excluded by the function. How do I get excel to include the blank cells in the sort function and class them as a lesser value that any number (or letter should I ever have a blank cell in a text string column) so that the blanks show at the top?

I want my company to go back to '03 :-(

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
    Hope that helps.
