Excel 2007 : Subtraction frustration

I am trying to change all the values in a column. Specifically, I want to subtract 9 from each value of the cells in the column already. It is a very lengthy column, which is why I would like to automate this process a bit instead of subtracting 9 from each cell manually. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

one way is to loop through each cell

Another way :
Enter 9 in an empty cell
Copy it
Select your range
Right Click - Select Paste special
Check " substract"- OK
