Excel 2007 : Hovering Mouse over data points on a chart

When hovering the mouse over a data point on a chart in Excel 2007 the data point is not displayed. This scenario only exists for one of the multiple computers Excel 2007 is installed on. I have tried clicking the chart to make it the active item before hovering the mouse over the data point but that was unsuccessful.

b 3 4

I turn this into a scatter plot. In excel 2007 one should be able to click the chart then hover the mouse pointer over a data point to have excel display ("3" 3,4) etc. One of the computer's I have does not display this information.

Is there a setting I may have changed on this computer to prevent the display of this information? The problem exists on any graph.
How should I go about investigating the problem?

Hi Spmurphy,

You need to change this in excel options.

Press the office button (top left) then select Excel option (button at the bottom right of the drop down menu).
You then need to select the advanced tab and scroll down the the sub section Display.

In there you will find "show data point values on hover", you need to ensure this is checked.
