    formula not showing

So I am using excel 2010, I am trying to use a SUM formula, =SUM(B3:B14). The formula wizard shows the correct answer but when I hit the ok button the cell is blank, the formula is displayed in the formula bar. If I try to copy the same formula from a working cell then right click the cell to paste, it shows the correct answer. But no matter what I do I can not get it to show the answer in the cell. I would pull my hair out if I had any.

Hard to tell without seeing the spreadsheet.

One guess though: Check your font color for the cell. If you have a white background and somehow formatted the text to be white, you won't actually see anything.

Otherwise, I'd recommend you post a sample spreadsheet that reflects the problem you're having.
