    Help with Pivot Table

good evening to all .. i little help here please.............

i have a text file with 2 columns... country and product.... i need to create a pivot table with this data to look like the output below :

First column is country, second column is product and third is the mount of each product per country... Very simple to be achieved with a pivot table.. but...

Now comes the challenge: The text file has 300.000 records....does anyone has a clue how this could be done on Excel... or any other product ?

You haven't stated what version of Excel you are using, but I assume it's Excel 2003 or lower.
If you use Excel 2007 upwards, then that has up to 1.1 million rows, which should be plenty for you. And you can stick with pivot tables.

    You can't.

You might want to try OpenOffice. It's free and was updated in July to DEV300_m84 with 1,048,576 rows. It doesn't have Pivot Tables as that's a proprietary Microsoft thing, but something similar called DataPilot.
