    Lightbulb User interaction

I have created a workbook, for analysis of student grades. I'm using a variety of UDFs and macros with a whole range or formatting etc.

Now that i've got all this working i need to build a front end/ create the user interaction (filtering/ selecting various options) etc.

I'm interested in peoples take on wether to use forms/active controls in the workbook or if creating a custom ribbon would be better. I can add buttons to a ribbon but some of the features would be better done by drop downs etc.

I'm looking at visual studio to help edit a ribbon but haven't used it very much..

    Re: User interaction

Why would you try to use the Ribbon for user input?

Whichever is most comfortable for users - Sheet formatted as a form or a UserForm
    Hope that helps.

    Re: User interaction

ITs not so much for input, more making selections for a predefined lists of variables.

I dont have a great deal of experience of editing the ribbon, other than adding a simple button to execute a macro and wondered if any one could offer any guidance, not sure if i biting off more than i can chew or if im making it more complex than it needs to be.
