    Can you SUMIFS until?

I have data in a poorly designed spread sheet, as attached.

As you can see blank cells are intended to indicate a continuation of a description, be it date, shift of delay type. I need to total the amount of each delay type, for each shift for each day. However I cannot find a manner of using the sumifs function to this effect. Is there a simple way to achieve this, or a simple VBA function I could use?

    Thanks In advance

In the attached, I inserted three columns to populate the blank rows in columns a, b & c inorder to use the sumifs function.

    Cheers Ben.

I've been mashing my brain on this for ages. You are a live saver.

    Thanks so much!
