Linking chart label to a cell

Is it possible to link a chart label to a cell? (which isn't part of the chart data) If that isn't possible, how about inserting a shape/balloon popup, can that include a link to a cell?

Yes - put just something into chart title (which is what you meant by label, right?) to make the field visible. The field should be selected after you hit 'ok' but do select it if it's not. Type then an equal sign and click the cell you want the title to be referred.
