SUMPRODUCT with cell reference to named range

I have the following formula in Sheet1 which works fine:

    =SUMPRODUCT((Employee=John)*(Sales_2009)*(Product=Bricks))

Sales_2009 is a named range in column D of Sheet2
Column C in Sheet2 has another named range called Sales_2008

Is it possible to amend the SUMPRODUCT formula as follows:

    =SUMPRODUCT((Employee=John)*(B2)*(Product=ABC))

which gives the user the option of entering either Sales_2009 or Sales_2008 in cell B2 of Sheet1 ?
