When percentage is over 100%, make value appear in parentheses

    Good day to all,

As i said above, i have a sheet that computes percentage values. It is a budget sheet thus i want to keep the values below 100% of budget. When the value does exceed the budget, i need the cell's contents to appear in parentheses. so for example, if the value was 125% it would appear as (25%).

    Thanks in advance!!!

with your calculated value in a3 =IF(A3>1,"("&100*(A3-1)&"%)",A3) this will give (xx%) if over 100 but its not a real %
you could custom format to give (125%)
    [>1]"("##%")";##%
