I am using a data source to bring together multiple data sets in Excel. The data source pulls data into 4 columns; date, revenue, orders, visits. However the format in which the source gives date is 'general' and will not work to populate the rest of the workbook. So I must translate this date column (=DATEVALUE) to the adjacent column to use as reference in my SUMIPRODUCTS equation.
The problem is whenever the data source pulls in a new row of data (daily), the subsequent DATEVALUE column does not auto-update. So I must manually go into the worksheet and drag-down the equation each time the data source updates. I initially tried to drag down the DATEVALUE equation several months in advance, however that screws up the SUMPRODUCTS equation I have built in other sheets. It gives me a #VALUE error.
I know I probably have not done the best job of explaining this problem, so I am attaching an example.
In summary, I am looking for a way for my adjacent columns to update based on the data source without building out the equations further.
This would be a BIG win if I could figure this out for my company. Much appreciated for your help in advance.
