Question Message: "Not enough resources to display completely"

    Hi,

    I work on windows 7 (64-bit, 8Gb RAM, I5 procssor) and Excel 2010.
I work on very big data files (each file at least 100Mb) and worked previously on the same with office 2003 and PC with 3Gb RAM with no problem except speed.
I get the massage: "Not enough recourced to display completely" very often. Even when I don't press anything. If I press enter I can return to work on the file but sometimes it closes the file (without saving).

    Any suggestions what to do?

    10x,
    illia.

This article (admittedly re. Excel 2010 32bit) http://support.microsoft.com/default...duct=xlw2K#top blames something called an "internal heap" - whatever that is - but essentially it reads as your pc memory > 2Gb cannot be used by the programme anyway. Does the same result still occur if you use your other pc when performing the same operation?
Have you looked in Task Manager to ensure there isn't too much other background jobs happening in W7 such that 2Gb isn't even available, however unlikely that seems?
I count on Excel for everything
