Using Large Point Type Over Two Rows

I have a spreadsheet using 8 pt type. I would like to use 16 pt type
in just a few of the cells in several of those rows.

Cells containing the larger type will not be used in calculations.....simply
    for display purposes.

For example.....the entire spreadsheet is using 8 pt type. In cells/rows
C2:F6 I would like to use 16 pt type.

    Can this be done?

I am assuming you are looking for Vertical Centering, I have never seen a solution for that, except merging cells, and this can cause unforeseeable problems .
