Excel 2007 : Find text within a cell range

I am trying to do a search to compare a cell to a range of cells.

Ex:

A B
cat cat
dog
horse dog
bird horse
mouse mouse
zebra

dog horse are both in A2 with a hard return between them.

I want to know know if B1 is in range A1:A5

Try

=Isnumber(Search(B1,$A$1:$A$5))

TRUE result means item found in the range.

It didn't work. I get False when I should get a True.

=ISNUMBER(MATCH("*"&B1&"*",$A$1:$A$5,0))
