Adding long text entries to cells - comments or script?

    Hi,

I have a long list of customer records and use pivot tables to filter as required. For each customer I tend to have to insert long amounts of text, i.e. case notes, on a regular basis. I have been using the add comments facility but think there must be a better way. Can script be used to create a popup box for each cell, i.e. linked to the customer reference or case status?

    Any ideas welcome.

    thanks

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

Find attached a possible method for you.

I've put a text box on Sheet1 which displays anything that has been double clicked. You can find the VBA code behind the Worksheet (not in a Module). Double click any of the comments in the pivot table and they will appear in the text box..

Without an example workbook this is just a guess at what you desire.
