    editing values and time formatting

I essentially want to edit values that do not conform and retain those that do such that the resuklting column holds all the right values in the time format that i may subject to addition/subtraction

It would be difficult to explain what i want so i have enclosed a sample.xls file for reference with my expected results and what i am currenltly doing.

    Thanks

Re: Require help on editing values and time formatting

I thought we'd covered this on another thread previously ? I guess not.

    Based on the sample:

    DonkeyOte
Thanks very much - that did it
Yes, I have asked something like this earlier but not exactly this
BTW what does the +0 a the end of the formula do?

One last thing since i am at the end of my marathon project with great success thanks to you are other forum members.
How can i check that that all values in column F and G are in the same (time) format hh:mm::ss and no other becasue in reality they have been processed from other columns. Can i possibly format in red bold those that do not conform to this format of data? Yes this too was touched upon earlier in another post but you had asked for a sample file.

May we continue that here now that i am on the verge of closing this project?

Addition coerces, so the "time string" becomes a "time value" - ie a number
(In this instance TIMEVALUE would do the same so use that if preferred)
