I am in need of some assistance with a rather large spreadsheet, currently we track information for a product based upon the lot assigned, and the date the lot was transported. Based upon the week that the lot was transported that lot is moved from sheet 1 to sheet 2 and populated into a the correct column (i.e. if the lot was transported on 1/3/10, and the week range was 1/1/10 to 1/7/10, that lot would fall into that column on sheet2).
I created a mock up of our actual scenario, very much simplified, as I was hoping someone could show me how to go about this in a graceful fashion. I have looked at conditional formatting, but because the actual spreadsheet is for the entire year of 2010, I have 52 week ranges, and conditional formatting is of no help. I looked at doing macros, and I can make one for each week, although that seemed rather laborious and inelegant. Does anyone know of a better way to do this?
