finding data from mutliple sheets

Hello all!

I have a project planner - spanning mutliple worksheets. Once an item is complete a cell is updated with a 'Y' if incomplete it reads 'N'.

I want to pull together a top sheet that references all the 'N's from all sheets thus creating a single list of all incomplete tasks.

if I can lookup all the 'N's and just return the task that will work just fine.

I'm guessing your layout may not be simple. Post a sample workbook demonstrating the exact layout of a few sheets and a mockup on your top sheet goal.

The solution will probably be VBA, are macros OK? I was thinking a macro that triggered each time you brought the topsheet onscreen...it collects all the "incomplete" rows from all other sheets automatically each time you activate the sheet.

Cool thought so - I'm fine with that... Just to be aware there will be sheets added etc as the project gets bigger

I can't seem to open your file. About 5% of Excel 2007 files won't open with the converter, looks like yours is one of those.

Can you save your file as an Excel 2003 file?

I have no problem getting the file, I just can't open it. You sending me the same file you uploaded won't change anything.
