    estimation vs actual completion graph

    Hi,

I am trying to make a graph to show the estimation of completion of a task compare to the actual completion. This is the weekly basis progress.

The task is devided into 8 diffrent milestones. We need to have visibility on every single milestone and compare between the estimation and the actual.

Could you please advice what kind of graph would be the best fit to this?

I would suggest Line & Columns chart. Go to Insert --> Chart click on custom types, scroll down to Line - Column and choose that one. Follow the rest of the steps as you would for a normal graph and presto you got your graph

Sounds like a gantt chart with either a comparison set of bars for actual of overlayed xy-scatter markers.

But you have not really provided enough information.

Does you chart plot multiple tasks or just multiple milestones?
What does your data actually look like and how do you have it stored?
    Cheers
