    double vlookup

I have a spreadsheet with 2 tabs: NUMBERS DRAWN and NAMES AND NUMBERS. I have a basic vlookup formula in column D of the NUMBERS DRAWN tab. It looks at the number typed in column C and looks up the name to place in column D from the NAMES AND NUMBERS tab. What I need the vlookup to also do is look at the numbers in column C of NUMBERS DRAWN, and if the number was already used, state Already Used, instead of drawing in the name and being a duplicate. This will key me if I mistype. A sample is attached. Thank you in advance.

    Hi mamig,

See if the formulas in the attached (which I have done for each Name column) are what you're after.

    Regards,
