Question Double lookup / Closest match

    Hi all,

I have a problem where I need a formula to first pickup the vlookup a value sheet1, and then go to sheet2 to find it. Once that lookup value is found in sheet2, look through the following range in that row and then find the closest value compared to another value in sheet 1. if the closest value is not within 1 of the second lookup value then return "0".

    eg

    sheet1
    1325 $140
    1579 $151

    sheet2
    1556 $135 $165 $160
    1325 $133 $150 $141
    1579 $155 $151 $160

So for the first row, the vlookup would grab 1325 in sheet1, look for it in sheet2, once found it would go through the range in sheet2 (ie $133 $150 $141) and return the closest value to $140 (shown in sheet1) which would be $141. Then I would also like the option of returning 0 if the closest match is not closes enough.

Attached is my worksheet, if some some could help as I'm not sure should if be using IF, VLOOKUP, MATCH etc

    thanks
