Formula or Macro in a Cell

Is there a formula or macro to make say---All EVEN numbers in a CELL BLACK????
And all ODD numbers RED????Now the trick is we want even the numbers say
    single or double and trips---
Example --Number 1 in a cell would be RED and in the next cell number 23 and the 2--BLACK and 3-- RED
Hope we explained it right.. Also no more than 3 numbers in one cell ----hope that helps..
    Maybe a MACRO???
    Using excel 2007
And the excelsheet has alot of numbers
    Thanks

You can, as far as I know, only format individual digits in a number to a specific colour, if the number is stored as text.

What does the content of a typical cell look like?
    And
Why would you need to do this, what does it achieve?

Your thread title is a bit dodgy, you might want to change it before the moderators get you!...
