    Retaining Row Data

    Hi

I have the following spreadsheet which is my sales figures, each day I come home I put the results of the day in columns c and d. As I move to the next day I would like the results of the previous day to remain as they were for that day, trouble is as I input a new days results it’s changing the previous days as well for some of my calculations and I cant figure out how to retain a days results. For instance Need Per Day To Flow on 3 sept is £1320, when I put a days results in 20 Sept, the 3rd sept changes, I want it to stay at £1320 and all results to stay as they were for that day. Could you help? Sept is the first month Ive been doing this and Ive had some holiday, hence the holiday entries but Oct will be a full month, see the tabs at the bottom. Basically Im trying to create a sheet that I can simply put my figs of the day in and the rest calculates itself retaining the actual days results. Any help much appreciated.

    Re: Retaining Row Data

I really can't pretend to understand what you're trying to do as your formulae are inconsistent.

    G11: =SUM($E$3/$E$5*3)-$I$3

    but

    I3: =SUM(E9:E37)

so, when you put something into a cell for September 20th it will affect I3 which affects G11

You need to review all your formulae.

    Regard

    Re: Retaining Row Data

So sorry, I'm trying to create a sheet whereby I can input my sales value everyday and it then shows me my how much I have to go how much I need per day to achieve target, how much I need per day to bring me back on flow or I am overflow, percentage to month target and my percentage to month to date target, known as flow (i.e. if my month target is £20,000 and there are 20 sell days in the month and it is the 9th sell day this month, my flow target is £9,000). And wanted to be able to see my progress in bringing my need per day down/up etc throughout the month hence the need for each day to remain as it was on that particular day. Just wanted to make it a bit easier for myself, sorry to bother you.
