    File opening window

I am running Windows XP and Excel 2002.

I have this weird little problem. When I click on FILE I get the usual drop down menu. Next if I click on OPEN, instead of the standard window that uses up maybe a fifth of the screen, I get a full sized window. How I caused the program to start doing this I don't know and I can not figure out how to get it back to the smaller window.

    So, any ideas?

Okay, you got the problem down. I can not get the window to re-size. No little resize box in the upper right hand corner, only a question mark next to the close X, and the only thing I can do with the cursor is to expand the Windows menu at the bottom at the expense of the file opening window. So??

Grab the lower right corner and drag.
