Match and combine entries from 2 tables

I have two tables that both contain entries representing the same item. The tables have similar fields, such as 'Date', 'Product', etc. but table A has the Description field that i need , while Table B has an 'ID' field representing each entry. Is there a way to get excel to match entries between the two tables based on multiple fields that exist in both tables, and return the 'ID' field from table B to the correct entry in Table B?

Hello & Welcome to the Board,

I can think of a couple of tools that could help, but it would be good to see a sample of your data so we know exactly what you require.

    Vlookup

    Index/Match

You can attach a stripped down example of your workbook by using the little paper clip icon.

    btw:
Why multiple tables with the same information minus one column or so?

Wouldn't it make life much easier to combine all like items into one contiguous block of data! Just my thoughts...
