How to get a column of numbers in ascending order?

    Hi,

How can i get a column of numbers in ascending order? I have a column "Number", and i want the column to go from 1,2,3,4,....etc. Is there any way i can just write the first number and drag it down to get the rest?

    Many thanks!

Well, you might have to type two numbers :-(

For example, put 1 in cell A1 and 2 in cell A2.
Select both cells, A1 and A2.
Move the mouse pointer to the bottom right of cell A2.
The mouse pointer will turn into a thin cross/plus sign
Click and drag down as far as you need to go.

    Regards
