I have a text file in notepad with 4 rows for each set of data. Is there a way for me to get the data all into 1 row in the text file or all into 1 row in excel.
Thanks

It's only 4 rows, open the text file in Excel, then just copy the rows, sounds like 10 seconds work.

My problem is I have thousands of 4 row entries

So your question is really:
"How can I import 1000s of text files into a single Excel sheet with the 4 rows of data in each file stacked neatly under each other?"
Click GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to post up a desensitized copy of two of these text files. Also upload a sample Excel sheet showing these two data sets imported and displaying the way you want.
I have a macro I can tweak for you for this task. Is VBA ok?
Thanks for clarifying Jerry, you are correct. I have a passing knowledge of VBA let's give it a go.
Thanks again.
P
Do you mean you have one text file with thousands of records, but 4 rows per record?

Yes that's correct
What's correct? Please upload 2-3 of these 1000s of text files as requested along with an Excel example of how the samples would look after importing.
