Removing duplicates while leaving the most recently updated

    Hi everyone:

If anyone has suggestions for a more clear title I'll change it.

I have a spread sheet with over 2200 rows and 17 columns. The spreadsheet is showing a list of people who have received specific services on specific dates. The other columns have some unique identifiers that remain consistent as long as the name of the person and the service being provided are the same. (such as a database ID number, a cost...etc) So...I could have John receiving a hair cut on the 8th of August in one row, the 15th of August in another row and the 20th of August in another row. I'd like to run a formula that will leave me with the row that says John had a Haircut on 8-20-2010.

So the formula would evaluate the name column, the type of service column and the date column leaving me with the most recent time that service was delivered to that specific person. Shweww!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks - I just cleaned it up a little. This is a very small portion of the sheet. The original sheet is around 2800 rows.

    Thanks again
