Copying a cell with Alpha & Numerics

    Hi,
    I have in a cell 'Fri(9/9/10)'
How can I copy this down the column so that it increments in both day and date?
    Is it possible?

    Thank you
    Sarah

Enter just the date 9/9/10 so that you have a true date, then custom format (Format|Cells >> Number tab) as ddd(m/d/yy) then copy down....

Should that first, though be Thurs(9/9/10)
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Thank you, that was so easy (if one knows). Yes it should be Thursday.
