    Vlookup in a pivot table

    Im stumped. Have 3 worksheets (data, pivot and formula) The info for the pivot table is on the formula sheet which also has the vlookup. Im trying to add the vlookup to the pivot table.

    Any help would be awesome. Thanks

    as you may already know, you can't change/alter the pivot table data...because it's basically based off another DATA SOURCE. So, what you want to do is input your vlookup in the datasource where the pivot table sources the data from.
    It's very difficult to illustrate this without a spreadsheet, but you can may be replicate another spreadsheet representing your issue without using the names/data you're using for your work.

    What is the actual issue with adding the VLOOKUP column data to the pivot table? If it's just how to include it in the data source, then select a cell in the pivot table, press Alt+DP, then step back through the wizard to adjust the data source to include the additional column.
