I used to teach Excel 2003 and now since I haven't used in about 2 years, I've fallen prey to stupidity. I have a list of items (3000 to be exact) that I need to pull from and have selected ones entered into a normal page. Let me explain:

I would like to have a control page that I can enter a room of my house and then be able to have all of the items in that room appear: The list of items in my house would not be too specific but would be end tables, sofa, ottoman, stereo, computer. Basically print a single page of every item in that room after I type in that room name or number: Number is easier.

I remember doing such a thing but lost the ability: perishable skill I have noticed. Also I want to keep the 3000 items on one hidden sheet and just have one control page displaying the field form that allows me to enter a room number. I know I have to assigned numbers to each item (stereo might be assigned to 3 rooms since I have 3 stereos). If you could help that would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Access is best I know but I remember Excel doing this at one point in my life.
