unable to open excel sheet

Hi all , I have a technical issue with one of spreadsheet i was working on. It is a huge sheet, it used to give an initial pop up prompt to select "tables" and it was working fine. But, after some days it started giving the same prompt with "autofilter" as prompt, as shown in the screen shot attached. This time the sheet is not getting opened. Is there a way I can retrieve this file ?
Any help will be highly appreciated !!!

Try turning OFF automatic calculations.

Do not know what version of Excel your using, but in 2000:

On the Task Bar
Tools
Options
Calculation Tab
Tick Manual

Also did you look in the indicated error log to see what it reported?
