    vlookup

    Hi all

I'm trying to set what is probably a very basic vlookup instruction but have no idea. I've never used vlookup before - I've only just discovered conditional formatting!

Anyway, I would like to do the following:

If a cell in column F contains 'y' I would like to copy the data from column B to column H in the same row.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

    Re: vlookup???

    Try:
Look on the Net - Click on the words "Look on the Net" to the left as it sends you to a youtube training of Vlookup.

    Perhaps in H2:

    =IF(F2="y", B2, "")

If that takes care of your need, please click EDIT in your original post, click GO ADVANCED and set the PREFIX box to SOLVED.

While you're in there, change this thread title, too, this may win the award for the worst title of the week! Something like "IF/THEN on every row"
