Sorting address cells into correct columns

    Hello,

I have what is probably a rather simple problem. When using text to columns function, the addresses i perform this on have a variable number of lines in the address ie.

    20B Abbotsford Avenue, London, N15 3BS
Flat 5, Park View Court, 204 Anerley Road, London, SE20 8TJ
Flat 3, Ashburn Court, 7 Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley, Kent, BR1 4BF

Therefore if I want to ensure each line of the address is in the appropriate column for a mailmerge for example then I would have to cut and paste all the cells that are in the wrong columns. How can I sort the address cells out so they go into the correct columns?

I've attached a spreadsheet to show you what I mean.

    Hope you can help.

You can't do that with Text to Columns. That functionality just parses your text into a new cell after each comma.

Determining whether or not a cell content is a flat number, a street name, a city or a district/region/county/whatever or a post code will require a complex set of VBA and/or Regular expressions.

    Ok,
I was wondering if there was a way to perform text to columns where the data is parsed out from right to left as oppposed to the opposite. This would mean at least all of the postcodes would be in the correct column (which is the most important info for me)

    Cheers
