Finding the Average for first 20 days of Sales based on "On Sale" date and range

I have an Excel 2003 file that has two values for each month regarding sales numbers. I want to take just the first 20 days and get the average of these two columns based on their first "on-sale" date.

I am not sure what to do with it. So, let's say the first on sale date is 4/1/10 and I want the next 20 days of sales from there based on two different columns of sales numbers.

From this date range I would like to average the sales numbers divided by 20.

    Help!

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
