Thumbs up Check column for entries

I currently have a full banking setup credits, debit, balance and everything like that. But I have at the top of the columns the totals for the credits, debit, and balance.

What I am looking for is a formula for the top of my Cleared column. Something like “if all the cells in this column are "Y" then put "Y" in the cell if not put "N" "

If anyone could help me that would be awesome. If not no big loss

Oh and it would be cool if you could have it set up so if it is "Y" then the background of the cell would be yellow and if it is "N" the background would be black and the "N" Would be white. But the color part doesn't have to happen at all that's just for the fun of it.

Thank you all for your time

Re: Need Help with a formula

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.

    re: Check column for entries

    Maybe

    =IF(COUNTBLANK(A4:A20)>0,"N","Y")

Ideally replace A4:A20 with a dynamic named range

I suggest that you read the Rules properly, because your changed title was no better than the original. I've changed it this time
