Create Error message for different dates entered.

Hi All,

Let me start by using an example. I have a date (25-Aug-2010) in A1 and I want excel to display and error message when a date that lies in the weekend is entered into cell A2. Also an error message should be displayed when an earlier date is entered into cell A2. Anyone know how to do this?

I have the suitable dates in a drop down list in excel. The idea is that users select the date from this list, but some may chose to overwrite the selection at which point I would like a message to appear depending on where the date is from 25th August 2010[/FONT]
