    Frozen worksheet...help!

I have a worksheet that appears, for want of a better word, to have frozen.

Any changes to cell entries are ignored, and I am stuck. I an fairly novicy about such matters although I am pretty sure that I have not put any 'protection' on. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like you have calculation set to manual. In XL2007, press the office button, select excel options, select formulas, and under "Calculation options" click automatic.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

    Good morning tarmon

It's going to be hard to come up with anything on this one without a bit more information. What happens when you try and enter something into a cell? Can the file be saved? Do toolbars / menu items work? Can you navigate to other sheets? Are all sheets affected?

Can you post the workbook up for someone to take a look at?

Thank you both. Sweep was correct, now working fine, panic over.
