    VBA on shared workbooks

    Hi,,..

    my VBA codes wont work when i share my workbook.... is there a way to enable macros or VBA on shared workbooks??

    Hi,

    It all depends what your code is doing. Some things you just aren't allowed to do with VBA in a shared workbook that you can with one that isn't. In general I would avoid shared workbooks unless you have no other option.

    avoid shared workbooks. Like. The. Pest.

    There's only two types of shared workbooks: those that have become corrupt, and those that will become corrupt soon.

    If you need simultaneous user access to the same data set, use a multi-user database solution, not Excel.

    Shared workbooks are unreliable, hard to work with, throw errors that can't be explained and loose data.

    Time for a paradigm shift.
