autofilter is not displaying in full

hi I am using Excel 2003
I have created a protected sheet where users are
only able to edit column F. Row 1 has some info and
links to some formulas. in the second row I have used
the autofilter function. The most important part of the filtering
is from column C2:C10000. Here is where the addresses are
located. when the user try to filter an adress it can only see up
to 1000 or so results. It doesn't display the full data of column C.
I did some research and tried to select the full colum and not row
when using filters but it didn't make any difference. Also the users are
not able to use the find functn as the sheet is prtcted so I am in trouble.
    Can some1 please help?

    thanks in advance

Re: autofilter is not displaying in full

I seem to recall that there is a limit of 1000 rows matching the filter criteria.

    Regards
