    Linking two cells

Hello! Say I have got two excel-tabs: One containing persons (customers) and their phone number, in two different columns. This tab is called "customers". Another tab is called "orders". In the tab "orders", I've created a scroll list, where you can click and choose a person in the "customers"-tab. Now my problem is this: Is it possible to make the customers phone number appear in the cell next to the cell with the list function automatically in the "orders" tab??

One Important thing to remember is that let's say you add more name and numbers to Customers tabs, DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THE RANGE OF THE TABLE_ARRAY IN THE VLOOKUP, in the case you add more names/nbers above the current set range A2:B32 in the Customers tab

    Re: Linking two cells

The Range Lookup is a logical value that specifies whether you want VLOOKUP to find an exact match or an approximate match.
for instance the numerical value for TRUE/FALSE in excel in 1 and 0 respectively. So I specified zero because I wanted the vlookup to find AN EXACT MATCH to the value I was looking for, if I'd have specified 1; it would have looked for an exact or approximate match to be returned. If an exact match is not found, the next largest value that is less than lookup_value is returned.

Bottom Line, I always put zero in the range lookup; because I always want to find an exact match...for me it's mechanical...Always ZERO

    hope it helped
