My problem is that Microsoft Excel is now lagging when I open it and using up to 700,000 K of my memory (according to Task Manager). It seems to especially lag when I type in a time to record, but it doesn't matter much anymore.

For the past month I have been using Microsoft Excel to help me keep track of subcontractors at my new job. I use basic logs; I take down a company's representative, the company's name, a number, when we talked, and a general "notes" cell. Each workbook contains 5 days of the week and typically around 80 logs a day.

I'm using Microsoft Excel 2007on a Windows XP, with a Pentium DualCore Processor, and 3.21 GB of RAM (my office computer).
