I am setting up a spreadsheet where I created a drop-down list of items based on shelf-life. I have that working just fine. It will turn yellow when the item is at 30% of its shelf life and red when it reaches 15% of its shelf life.
The problem is every category has two shelf-lives (We will use 30 and 50 for this example). All color changes are based on the 30-day (maximum) shelf life and that can be misleading.
What I THINK I have to do is create another rule that references 50 as the maximum shelf life and set the same parameters. However, I don't know how to get the cells to refer to the 30 and the 50 day rules. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Is it a simple IF statement?
