Excel 2007 : Incorrect data when both worksheets are loaded

i have two excel worksheets..the 2nd one references numberic cells in the 1st one..

mathematically, the 2nd one works fine..that is until the 1st worksheet is also loaded into excel..

when that happens, the references in 2nd worksheet are off by one row number and thus incorrect data locations are referenced..

anyone every heard of this happening before?

How are the cells in the other workbook referenced?

What do the formulas look like before the workbook is opened? What do the formulas look like after the workbook is opened? Can you post two sample files that show the behaviour you describe?

before posting, i had this situation occur on two computers at different locations...now, i cannot duplicate the changes i described in the initial post...and on a friday afternoon, i don't have the staff available to test this evolving situation around the office.
